Greetings from MFC !

This is to inform you that the mid annual meet of MFC is scheduled to be held at Yatri Niwas, Sewagram, Wardha from July 11(Thursday) to 13 (Saturday). The agenda for the meet as per the discussion on the e forum and the last annual meet are as follows:
1. The theme for the annual meet 2003 will be "Public Health Systems, Services: Threats and Options," the concept note on which has already been circulated on the eforum.
2. The other important issue we are going to discuss is about the Gujarat carnage. As suggested by some members, it is necessary to talk about the Gujarat situation with respect to MFC's involvement and long term strategies of follow up.
3. The other issues which we can discuss in the informal session include the recent strategy paper on population, recent arrests of women in Punjab for undergoing the sex determination tests, IAWS conference, Injectable seminar, baseline study on the effects of Uranium mines on health in Meghalaya (Satya and Binayak have been approached by the National Coalition for Nuclear Disarmament for undertaking the study, which Satya wants MFC to take up), and of course, follow up of the committees.

If there is any other specific issue to be discussed  from the cells please add to the agenda.

The AGM will be on the 13th and the agenda for the AGM will be circulated soon.

Kindly make your travel arrangements and please inform Shri Shantaram Pokhamare for accommodation. I will be extremely grateful if you can confirm your participation. This will help in planning the logistics and the programme. Please inform other friends about the meet.
